Meeting the needs of local people through efficient and effective services.

NHS Wiltshire has a responsibility to provide efficient and effective services that meet the needs of the thousands of people who require NHS care and treatment each year in the county.

We are committed to meeting the performance challenges and targets that lie ahead. To do this, we constantly monitor and review performance across directorates and services, making improvements where necessary, to ensure patients receive high quality care in a timely manner.

Primary Care Trusts have a statutory duty, under Section 24A of the NHS Act 2006, to report, once a year, on all consultations that have been undertaken, are underway or are planned, which impact on their commissioning decisions during 2009/10:
Duty to involve and consult on commissioning decisions April 2009 - March 2010
