Wiltshire & Bath MSLC User Reference Group

The MSLC User Reference Group is a sub-group of the MSLC that aims to:

  • Represent the views of maternity service users across NHS Wiltshire and NHS Bath & North East Somerset, proactively seeking the views of more disadvantaged groups who are not directly represented by the group itself – e.g. people with disabilities, black and minority ethnic groups, young people etc.
  • Advise and support the Maternity Strategy and Liaison Committee (MSLC) on all aspects of maternity services provided for the population of Wiltshire and Bath and North East Somerset (BANES).
  • Support the implementation of the current MSLC Action Plan and participate in the development of future Action Plans

The group is made up of the user representatives that sit on the MSLC and other user representatives keen to be involved in the development of maternity services locally.  Members reside in Wiltshire and Bath and have direct or indirect experience of maternity services.  Members are expected to remain on the User Group for at least two years but should feel able to leave at any time. Further expressions of interest and new members are sought by advert every two years.
